Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Academic Advisor. This is a full-time, twelve-month position.
Position Description
The Academic Advisor reports to the Director of Admissions and is an integral part of the Division of Student Affairs.
The Academic Advisor will provide academic advising, basic financial aid information, process admissions documents and serves as a liaison between students and various BRTC departments.
The Academic Advisor will be located on the BRTC Pocahontas Campus and will report to the Director of Admissions. The Academic Advisor is responsible for new student admissions functions and will assist with academic and career advising, application processing, registration, special events and retention functions to ensure student success. The Academic Advisor will also serve as Disability Coordinator for Students.
Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a Baccalaureate degree is required.
Preferred – 1-3 years of experience in Academic Advising or other Student Academic Success
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.
