Black River Technical College is accepting applications for the following adjunct technical faculty positions for the 2022-2023 academic year with the semester beginning on August 15, 2022.
MCHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGY
The applicant will be responsible for teaching the techniques and mechanics of the machine trade, which would lead to employment of graduates as an apprentice tool and die maker or machinist. The applicant should possess proficient knowledge of engine lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, CNC equipment, and basic machine shop equipment. Applicants will be working with both college and high school students as part of BRTC’s Career and Technical Center.
Positions are available for the Paragould campus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This person must have as a minimum an Associate degree; a Bachelor of Science is preferred. The candidate should have work experience in the machinist, machine tool occupation. Candidates with any of the following will be given preference: Teaching experience; OSHA trainer certification.
INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICITY/ELECTRONICS
The person filling this position will be responsible for course and laboratory instruction in the Industrial Electricity/Electronics department at Black River Technical College on the Paragould campus. Applicants will be working with both college and high school students as part of BRTC’s Career and Technical Center.
Positions are available on the Paragould campus. Future position at new Piggott location possible
QUALIFICATIONS:
This person must have as a minimum an Associate degree; a Bachelor of Science is preferred. The candidate should have work experience in an electrical or closely related occupation. Teaching experience is also preferred. Candidates with any of the following will be given preference: Electrician Licensure; Teaching experience, OSHA trainer certification.
WELDING TECHNOLOGY
The person filling this position will be responsible for course and laboratory instruction in the welding department at Black River Technical College. Applicants will be working with both college and high school students as part of BRTC’s Career and Technical Center.
Positions are available for the Paragould campus. Future position at new Piggott location possible
QUALIFICATIONS:
This person must have as a minimum an Associate degree; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The candidate should possess welding certifications from the American Welding Society (AWS); inspector certification preferred. Additional certification from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in welding is also desirable. Candidates with any of the following will be given preference: Teaching experience, OSHA trainer certification.
COMPUTER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
The person filling this position will be responsible for course and laboratory instruction in computer information technology courses such as: PC Repair, Networking Concepts, Microsoft networking courses. This adjunct position falls within the BRTC Business Department.
Positions are available for the Pocahontas campus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This person must have as a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, a Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates with any of the following will be given preference: Teaching experience; Professional IT certifications; OSHA trainer certification.
