Please contact your instructor. We will be working with students who do not have internet access at home.
In addition, students who have access to a cell phone, tablet, or laptop with WiFi have the ability to access classes on Moodle. If a student does not have WiFi at home, public locations like McDonalds, Burger King, and BRTC all have WiFi accessible from the parking lot. At such venues, students would not have to leave their vehicles.
During the pandemic, BRTC has made arrangements to allied health on-campus classes to insure students receive the best education possible.
Paramedic, registered nursing and respiratory care students have been attending clinicals on campus in small groups following social distancing guidelines. In addition, respiratory care students have been attending clinical classes in the hospital facilities.
Registered nursing theory courses have been delivered fully online while paramedic and respiratory care students have been attending theory classes on campus following social distancing guidelines.
Registered nursing students have continued to utilize virtual case studies and simulations to meet their clinical course outcomes. Pending any changes in the clinical facility requirements, they will be returning to the clinical facilities this fall.
All allied health students are scheduled to return to traditional delivery this fall, with social distancing guidelines and screening in place.
