In honor of April, National Poetry Month, the English Club sponsored the first poetry contest in March 2015. This year marks the 3rd annual contest!
Awards
Winners will be announced via Moodle on April 24th.
Poetry winners will also be invited to read their poems at the Renaissance Faire on the Paragould Campus on April 28th.
- First prize: $100
- Second place: $50
- Third place: $25
- Best sonnet: $75

Email poems by April 3 at 3:00 p.m. to one of the following:
2017 Contest Rules
You must adhere to the following rules:
- Currently enrolled BRTC students only.
- Students may enter the following for consideration:
- Up to 2 original poems of any length, style, or form AND
- Up to 2 original Shakespearean sonnets
- There is no entry fee to enter this contest.
- Poems must be free of profanity and vulgar content.
