Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Digital and Development Specialist for the Office of Institutional Advancement. This is a full-time, non-classified, 12-month position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Digital and Development Specialist reports to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and creating content for college-wide social media accounts as well as digital media including visual, audio, and mixed media items; assist the VP in maintaining college branding; assisting the VP and Communication Coordinator with website content, communication coordination, and advertising/marketing campaigns and designs; assisting the Communication Coordinator in event coordination, planning, and implementation of BRTC Foundation events and college cultural events; coordination and administration of Project REACH including facilities and part-time employees; working with and responding to donors as well as coordinating some donor activities and campaigns; supporting fundraising campaigns; and assisting with other Institutional Advancement, initiatives, as assigned.
Excellent communication (written and oral), photography, and technology skills, especially in social media, are required. Must be customer service-oriented, well-organized, and detail-oriented. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and meet strict deadlines. Also required is the ability to function well in a team environment, be self-motivated, and possess critical thinking skills.
The formal educational equivalent of a baccalaureate degree is required. Experience leading and managing social media accounts is essential.
