Black River Technical College is accepting applications for the following technical faculty positions for the 2021-2022 academic year with the semester beginning on August 16, 2021.
GUNSMITHING TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
The person filling this position will be responsible for course curriculum development, course and laboratory instruction in the gunsmithing technology department at Black River Technical College as well as academic advisement and committee activities.
This person must have as a minimum an Associate degree; a Bachelor of Science is preferred. The candidate should have work experience as a gunsmith or a closely related occupation. Teaching experience is also preferred. Applicants must be willing to continue their education through technical training and professional certifications.
Preference will be given to applicants with the following skills:
- Knowledge of manual and CNC Lathe use and application in the field of gunsmithing.
- Knowledge of manual and CNC Mill use and application in the field of gunsmithing.
- Metal finishing processes as it relates to gunsmithing applications.
- Certification as an armorer for specific manufacturers.
