The purpose of this course is to provide refresher training to offers who have previously attended a law enforcement sniper training course. Relevant areas of instruction include qualification on the CLEST Precision Rifle Qualification Course, confirmation of weapon zero, situational shooting positions other than prone and a low-light rifle course. Additionally, the students will do familiarization and testing on shooting through glass and complete a tactical course-of-fire to test multiple fundamental of marksmanship.

CCE-LE109: Sniper Operations 1 4.8 CEUs

The purpose of this course is to prepare officers assigned to the position of sniper, designated marksman, precision marksman for the basic skills required to successfully prepare them for situations they may encounter on a deployment. The course emphasizes safety, marksmanship, decision-making and tactics. All students are required to pass the CLEST-recommended course for precision rifle. A written test along with supplemental skills evaluation must be passed satisfactorily as well. Supplemental skills include movement techniques observation practical exercises low-light operations. Students will be challenged both mentally and physically throughout the course to prepare them for deployment by their respective agencies.
