POCAHONTAS, AR August 3, 2020 – Kayli Thompson of Paragould has accepted the Overman Buildings Scholarship made possible by funding from Overman Buildings of Pocahontas. Thompson is a 2017 graduate of Fayetteville High School and the daughter of Jennifer & Rodney Thompson. She is seeking an Associate of Arts in General Education.
The Overman Buildings Scholarship is a 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarship. The 2019 Annual IBERIABANK/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarships have been awarded to 17 students attending BRTC. Each scholarship is sponsored by a $1,000 donor who is able to name the scholarship. The Black River Technical College Foundation matches the $1000 donation allowing students to be awarded $1,000 per semester, fall and spring, provided the student maintains enrollment and meets GPA requirements.
