POCAHONTAS, AR Mar. 9 — On Thursday, March 5, BRTC hosted over 250 10th grade students to learn more about BRTC and its Secondary Career and Technical Education Center will be available in the fall.
Students from Walnut Ridge, Corning, Sloan Hendrix, Hillcrest, and Hoxie high schools took a tour of the campus and learned about the college opportunities they have available to them while still in high school.
As juniors and seniors, students from area schools may enroll in BRTC’s Secondary Career and Technical Education Center program and earn a certificate in medical professions including CNA and phlebotomy, industrial electronics, machine tool technology, and welding.
Students who graduate with their certificate from BRTC at the end of high school are immediately able to go straight to work in their new career field.
