BRTC Approved to Offer New and Updated Programs

POCAHONTAS, AR  Jan. 10 — BRTC was approved by the Arkansas Division of Higher Education (ADHE) to offer new programs online, new associate degrees, and make improvements to others.

BRTC has been approved to offer the new degree Associate of General Studies in General Studies.  This flexible program enables students to include a wide variety of classes into the degree.

The Associate of Applied Science in Medical Office Administration is also a new 2-year degree which trains students to better manage medical offices.

BRTC has been approved to offer both the 2-year Associate of Applied Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and the 1-year Technical Certificate in Nutrition and Foodservice Management completely online.  Classes will begin to be offered online in Spring 2019.

BRTC will now offer a 1-semester Certificate of Proficiency in Accounting Assistant, preparing students to enter the accounting industry or enhance their business background.

BRTC will also offer a 1-semester Certificate of Proficiency in Criminal Justice, providing a credential as well as introducing students to forensic science, corrections, and criminal evidence and procedure.

Curriculum in the Certificate of Proficiency in Phlebotomy, the Technical Certificate in Practical Nursing, and the Certificate of Proficiency in Agriculture have been enhanced to be more effective for students.
