Black River Technical College was awarded $169,786 from the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) on September 29. BRTC’s award was part of a $2,674,232 investment by the DRA to help boost economic development and improve the quality of life for Arkansas communities and residents.
BRTC will use DRA funds to transform a classroom at BRTC Paragould into an automation classroom. This area will provide a flexible, modular space for industry-specific robotics training that focuses on programming, operations, and maintenance. BRTC expects DRA’s investment to retain 50 jobs and train 50 individuals.
