BRTC CTC Hosts AGFC Guest Speaker

Black River Technical College Career and Technical Center recently hosted Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) employee Carissa Dougherty, who works specifically at the Forrest L. Woods Nature Center in Jonesboro.

Dougherty visited with students at both BRTC locations, Pocahontas and Paragould, sharing the various employment opportunities offered by the AGFC. She also shared her educational background, experience in the AGFC, and how she began as a volunteer with the organization before working her way up to full-time educator.

She brought along a special guest for the students to meet, a baby alligator, which she allowed the students to hold and take pictures with while she spoke about Arkansas alligator hunting season rules and regulations.
