BRTC Encourages Community to Attend Open Forums with Vice Presidential Finalists

POCAHONTAS, AR  Oct. 4, 2019 – Dr. Martin Eggensperger, Black River Technical College president, invites BRTC faculty, staff, students, and members of the community to attend a public presentation from each of the three finalists for the position of vice president of academic affairs.

All three presentations will be on Friday, October 11.  At 11:00, 12:00, and 1:00, each candidate will give a 15-minute presentation then answer questions from the audience for 45 minutes.  All activities will take place in the Randolph County Development Center on the campus of Black River Technical College.

Dr. Brad Baine is vice president of academic affairs and campus life at Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge, AR.  Baine earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Williams Baptist University, master’s degree in physical education from Arkansas State University, and Ph.D. in kinesiology/pedagogy from the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Chris Boyett is associate vice president of academic affairs at Rhodes State College in Lima, Ohio.  Boyett earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics at the University of Arkansas and a Specialist in Community College Teaching and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.

Dr. Angie Caldwell is former vice president of technical education at Black River Technical College.  Caldwell earned her bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Harding University, and master’s degree in vocational technical administration, specialist in community college teaching/administration, and doctorate in educational leadership from Arkansas State University.
