BRTC Fall 2020 Commencement Exercises

POCAHONTAS, AR Jan. 11 —BRTC held its Fall Commencement December 17 in the Randolph County Development Center. BRTC awarded 451 degrees and certificates to 323 graduates. Some students completed more than one certificate or degree. A separate Law Enforcement Training Academy Graduation ceremony was held on November 13, and a Nursing Pinning Ceremony was held on December 15.

Degrees were conferred by BRTC President Dr. Martin Eggensperger and awarded by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Brad Baine. Degrees awarded included two-year associate of arts, associate of science, and associate of applied science degrees as well as one-year technical certificates and one-semester certificates of proficiency. BRTC’s outstanding Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Academic All-Star were also recognized at the ceremony.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, graduates were presented their diplomas on stage while their families were invited to watch the ceremony on Facebook Live or in the safety of their own vehicles. The ceremony was shown in the RCDC parking lot on the big screen of James Junction, the local drive-in theater.
