BRTC Paragould Job Fair a Success

POCAHONTAS, AR  Nov. 8  – On November 5, Black River Technical College in Paragould held a job fair for BRTC students and the community.  More than 80 students participated in the job fair and more than 20 community members attended.

The following employers were in attendance:  TTEC, Black Gold Farms, Anchor Packaging, Employee Solutions, Great Dane, ACIM, Flower Shop Network, U.S. Census Bureau, Greene Acres Nursing Home, National Guard, U.S. Army, Belle Meade Nursing Home, Martin Sprocket, Greene County Sheriff Department, and Hytrol.

“It was a great success,” said BRTC Paragould Site Director Priscilla Stillwell.  “One employer told me they had more than 40 potential applicants to consider!”

Connor Perrin was the winner of a Kindle Fire.  In order to participate, students had to visit four employers of their choice at the job fair.

The event was coordinated by BRTC Paragould English instructor Elizabeth Collins and was held from 9:00 – 12:30 at the Paragould site.
