BRTC president Dr. Martin Eggensperger and SAU president Dr. Trey Berry
POCAHONTAS, AR Feb. 3 — Black River Technical College president Dr. Martin Eggensperger singed an agreement with South Arkansas University (SAU) president Dr. Trey Berry to offer select SAU bachelor’s degrees to BRTC students without students having to ever leave Pocahontas or Paragould.
SAU is the first university to sign to be a part of the BRTC University Center. The BRTC University Center will provide advisement and enrollment advice to students interested in pursuing a bachelor degree. Bachelor’s degrees to be offered by SAU at BRTC will be announced at a later date.
“The articulation agreement between BRTC and SAU provides a great opportunity for BRTC students to complete all 4 years of their respective degree on the BRTC campus in the BRTC University Center,” said Dr. Brad Baine, BRTC Vice President of Academic Affairs. “BRTC is very appreciative of this academic partnership which will accommodate the academic needs for BRTC students who desire to live locally while they complete their bachelor’s degree.”
Students must complete degree requirements with at least a 2.00 cumulative grade point average in general education courses and at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average in upper cases.
More information about the BRTC University Center will be provided at a later date.
