PARAGOULD, AR Mar. 3– Darbie Thomas, a Marmaduke High School student enrolled in BRTC’s Career and Technical Center (CTC), is the newest Student Spotlight.
Darbie completed the CNA program on the Paragould campus and is now enrolled in the Phlebotomy Program. She states that she chose to enroll in the college’s CTC program because “they offer great opportunities. They are helping me get the career of my dreams.” She wants to be an E.R. travel nurse and work in Hawaii. What she likes most about BRTC is “one-on-one time with each teacher.”
During her free time, Darbie likes to play video games, write, color, read, and run. The advice she would give her peers is “If you want something, go get it; don’t wait and expect opportunities to come to you.”
