POCAHONTAS, AR Jan. 13—Jordan Wicker of Jonesboro is BRTC’s newest Student Spotlight.
At 31, Jordan decided to return to college and pursue her dreams. She graduated with an Associate of Arts from BRTC on December 16, 2021, and then will be attending Arkansas State University in Spring 2022 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
Wicker states, “To say that my experience at Black River has been great would be a profound understatement.” She explains, “Returning to college at 31 years old was a somewhat daunting task, but the help I received from the faculty and staff – as well as the encouragement along the way – helped ease my concerns and reintegrated me back into college life quickly and effortlessly. It is bittersweet leaving BRTC.”
