POCAHONTAS, AR June 7—Black River Technical College was notified that it will receive a $153,994.67 grant for its Adult Education Program.
The Adult Education Program will be receiving the grant to work with TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) clients beginning July 1, 2021. The purpose of the grant is to provide assistance to recipients of TANF funds to help them to transition into employment that provides them with a sustainable living wage. The path to obtaining a living wage often requires individuals to enroll in short training which BRTC can provide.
