BRTC’s Erin Mathews Presents to the Paragould Rotary Club

Black River Technical College (BRTC) Admissions Counselor Erin Mathews presented to the Paragould Rotary Club this week.

The title of her presentation was “What I as a BRTC college recruiter tell your students.”

She allowed the rotary members to see her presentation to students from the student’s point of view. She passed out smart sheets with facts about BRTC. She covered the programs offered by BRTC, how the college application process works, and funding options available to help with tuition and other costs.

Mathews told the rotary that “BRTC is the college with a heart that cares about each and every student, and their success. Students are individuals to us, not just a number.”

She spoke of her personal experience as a student at BRTC. She mentioned how excited it makes her to know that so many of the BRTC faculty and staff began their education process at BRTC  and returned to give back to the college that helped them achieve success in reaching their dreams. She added this fact was the reason the tradition of caring is so prevalent at BRTC, because it’s being passed from generation to generation of BRTC employees.
