Jack DeLoach, Electricity Instructor, and the FANUC Robot
POCAHONTAS, AR. Oct. 14. Black River Technical College recently received a FANUC Robotics Training System through the Regional Workforce Continuation Grant.
Industrial Electricity/Electronics students at BRTC will learn how to program a FANUC robot to perform tasks in an industrial setting. The FANUC website states, “Our robots work in virtually every industry and application including assembly, material handling, material removal, machine tending, packaging, palletizing, painting and dispensing, arc welding and spot welding.”
Jack DeLoach, Electricity Instructor, is attending online training this semester and will complete certification training offsite during the summer of 2021.
Phillip Dickson, Dean of Business & Technical Education, states, \”I feel the FANUC LR Mate 200iD robotic training arm will be a great addition to BRTC\’s Industrial Electricity program and will allow Mr. DeLoach to increase the students’ knowledge and skills of robotics use and operation to prepare them for graduation and employment in the workforce, which continues to increase robotic automation in industries that our students could gain employment.\”
