Winston Payne and Casey Grissom of Frito Lay Speaking to Students
PARAGOULD, AR Feb. 2—On January, 19, representatives from Frito Lay, Winston Payne and Casey Grissom, spoke to BRTC’s Industrial Maintenance students on both campuses about an upcoming internship opportunity with the company.
Payne and Grissom showed students a video clip of a day in the life of an industrial maintenance mechanic at one of the 34 Frito Lay manufacturing plants in the United States. They discussed the job duties of Frito Lay mechanics, fielded questions from students, and then provided details about the upcoming internship.
The internship program will give BRTC students an opportunity to expand their technical and career skills while applying concepts taught in the classroom to real-world experiences. The representatives stated that Frito Lay hopes that this partnership with BRTC will develop a strong pipeline of local technical talent for them.

This is a very important partnership which is designed to grow our skilled workforce and enhance our community.”
Students who have completed one semester of an industrial maintenance program at BRTC and meet the requirements set by the company are encouraged to apply for this paid internship ($19/$20 per hour).
