Before serving as a campus police officer at BRTC Paragould for 10 years, Richbourg served in the United States Marine Corp for 13 years as an F4 seat and air conditioning mechanic. She started her law enforcement career of over 25 years as a jailer and then a patrol officer in Monette. Since then, Richbourg has served as an officer at ASU, Marmaduke, and lastly BRTC.

Many of Richbourg’s family members, friends, and colleagues attended her retirement celebration, and she gave everyone in attendance one last parking violation and officially signed off on the police radio.

In retirement, Richbourg plans to paint and travel and camp with her “two furry kids,” Bretta and Huey. Sergeant Richbourg wore a shirt to her celebration that summarized her feeling about her service: “I am a retired police officer, I served, I sacrificed. I don’t regret. I am not a hero, not a legend. My oath of enlistment has no expiration date.”

Sergeant Richbourg, BRTC thanks you for your service, you will be missed, and congratulations!
